Rivl5
Rivl5 (Classroom Phone)
All staff members (who normally have assigned phone extensions) have access to Rival5's web portal, which can be used in place of – or in addition to – a physical desk phone. This allows you access to your district phone number and voicemail wherever you are. You will no longer need to be on district property to make calls from your extension; you only need either an iOS or Android-based mobile device equipped with the Rival5 app or a computer equipped with the Chrome browser. To listen to voicemails, you only need speakers or headphones. To place calls from the portal, you will also need a working microphone.
iOS/Android App (called VODIA):
Staff members who are assigned numbers/extensions also have the option of installing an application on your iOS/Android mobile phone. Please note: the app does not store any data locally on your device (FOIA Compliant)
Web Portal URL & Directions:
NOTE: You must use Chrome for the Rival5 web portal to operate correctly. (Safari, Firefox, Opera, etc. will cause problems.)
The District 65 portal URL is https://evs065.rival5.net/
Use the "Sign in with Google" option.
Note: If you have both personal and work Google accounts, please be sure to do this in a Chrome window where you are signed in with your D65 account; otherwise the portal will not be able to locate your account with Rival5.
Voicemail:
Everyone will have a brand new voicemail box at Rival5. The default voicemail PIN is 123123. It is recommended to change this to a PIN of your choice – you may set it to a 4 digit PIN. Staff will continue to receive voicemail notifications via email messages just as before.
Troubleshooting:
If you're having issues using the Rival5 web portal...
Quitting Chrome and relaunching it.
Reduce the number of tabs you have open.
Look for questionable Chrome extensions that could be causing problems and disable them.
You must give the site permission to use your microphone and speaker (click "Allow" when prompted.) If you clicked "Deny" by accident, here's how to fix it.
